Sweetwater, located in Nolan County, is one of four school districts that have campuses in Nolan County. Sweetwater Independent School District, Roscoe ISD, Highland ISD, and Blackwell ISD. Sweetwater also has the administrative offices and one campus of Texas State Technical College (TSTC) West Texas. Three other campuses in Abilene, Brownwood and Breckenridge are managed by the Sweetwater campus.

  • Operates 6 campuses including (1- HS, 1- MS, 2- Intermediate, 2- Elementary, & 1- Early Childhood Center

  • Extracurricular Activities include, but not limited to: athletics, art, band, choir, cheerleading, National Honor Society, jump rope team, theater arts, DECA, FCCLA, and FFA.

  • Business partnerships (John Ben Sheppard Leadership Program, Future Leadership Program, Speakers Bureau, Senior Interview Day Program)

  • SISD enrollment – 2329

  • Early College High School (students can graduate from HS with an Associate’s Degree)
