NEWS RELEASE - April 20, 2006

S.E.E.D. PARTNERS FIRST EVER WIND ENEGERGY INSTITUTE

Sweetwater, Texas (April 20, 2006) – The Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development Corporation (S.E.E.D.) announces their partnership in the first ever Wind Energy Institute, June 1 - 2, 2006. The event will take place at the Texas State Technical College, Sweetwater, Texas.

The Institute is presented by the University of Texas School of Law, and the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. The training event for lawyers from throughout the country will provide firsthand knowledge of the law and economics of wind energy deals, renewable energy credits, leasing, transmission, power grid, and interconnection issues. A guided site tour of two wind farms in West Texas will provide a hands-on opportunity for participants.

“We are very excited to be a major partner in this first ever event,” states Kyle Lawrence, SEED board of directors member, “especially since this region provides more than 25% of the wind energy production for the nation. Wind energy is a low-cost source of power, and a promising resource for the future. Understanding the legal aspects of this fast growing industry is vital to the success of the business.”

For more information about the Wind Energy Institute or to register for the event, call 512-475-6700.
