UPDATE:
SWEETWATER COUNCIL GIVES NOD TO PROCEED
Sweetwater,
Texas (July 11, 2006) – Last month, the Sweetwater Enterprise
for Economic Development Corporation (S.E.E.D.) made recommendations
to the Sweetwater City Council for a $50,000 forgivable loan over
a period of five years in order to assist the development of seven
new jobs created by Advanced Turbine Services.
At
a recent meeting, the Sweetwater city council reviewed the incentive
package/forgivable loan. Currently, the final contract negotiations
are in progress; S.E.E.D. anticipates the contract with Advanced
Turbine Services to be effective within 10-14 days.
The
Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development Incorporated (S.E.E.D.)
mission is to facilitate a transitional move to this forward-thinking
area. S.E.E.D. is prepared for the challenge of maintaining consistent
economic growth, including the creation and retention of jobs
in Sweetwater. As a 4A organization, S.E.E.D. is focused on providing
