Sweetwater is fortunate to be blessed with great services. As a smaller community, we are one of the smallest communities, if not the smallest, to operate a fulltime professional fire and emergency services department. As the County seat of Nolan County, we not only have the Sweetwater Police Department, we also have the Nolan County Sheriff’s Department and an office for the Texas Department of Transportation (DPS). Sweetwater also operates a full service hospital and 24 hour emergency care to name a few of the services offered.
